Nikolsky’s sign , used to differentiate between intraepidermal/suprabasal from sub-epidermal blisters→Positive in intraepidermal blisters.

Nikolskys sign

Bulla spread sign/ asboe Hansen sign

False Nikolsky sign/ Sheklakov sign

Pseudo-Nikolsky sign/ Epidermal peeling sign

False Nikolsky’s sign→Positive in subepidermal blisters

Pseudo Nikolsky’s sign positive in:

  • Steven-Johnson syndrome
  • TEN
  • Burns
  • Bullous icthyosiform erythroderma.
