Giant rugal folds
Deep Crypts
Foveolar Hypertrophy
All cells are replaced by mucous cells
Stomach is loosing only protein
Overexpression of TGF alpha.
Adults -H.pylori infection
Children- CMV infection.
Total gastrectomy and protein replacement is the treatment.
Cetuximab used but not FDA approved.
